Cade Tyson’s Eligibility Hangs in Balance | Minnesota Golden Gophers Basketball News

Cade Tyson is back with the Gophers as they navigate his eligibility amid a legal battle that could reshape college basketball’s future for athletes like him. After a judge initially sided with players seeking an extra year, the ruling was put on hold, leaving Tyson’s status uncertain—but the team is already embracing him. Coach Niko Medved confirmed their support, hinting at a potential return for the upcoming season. Tyson’s last campaign was electric: nearly 20 points per game, elite shooting from everywhere. His return would inject veteran leadership and firepower into a Big Ten contender. With a Designated Student-Athlete spot available, Tyson’s path to Minnesota—or the pros—is now clearer. But with legal and NCAA decisions still pending, his official eligibility remains in flux. Listen in comfort:Get a discount on a Soli Pillow: http://solipillow.com/discount/dnn.
