Caden Powell Could Return to Baylor | Big 12 Basketball News

Baylor’s basketball team could welcome back Caden Powell for the 2026-27 season, a key transfer who stepped up when Juslin Bodo Bodo got injured, averaging nearly seven points and six rebounds. A new NCAA eligibility rule, tied to a lawsuit in Ohio, might grant Powell an extra year — potentially filling a critical roster spot. With Powell’s return possibly reshaping the frontcourt and adding veteran leadership, Baylor’s path to rebounding from last year’s struggles could hinge on this legal development. But don’t count on it yet — the NCAA vote looms, and Powell’s role might shift to forward to avoid roster congestion.
