Best renowned for his former guise as one-half of the unostentatious duo ‘Dubsons’ and co-founder of the vinyl-only outlet Algorhythmic, Vlad Arapasu leans toward the more percussive edge of the Romanian sound. Subtle traces of jazz, shaped by early influences such as Wes Montgomery and Alice Coltrane, inform his musical identity. His symbiotic approach to production has led to releases supported by fellow countryman Priku on the acclaimed Atipic imprint. He has also featured on East End Dubs’ label Eastenderz, further strengthening his catalogue. Although his solo project is still relatively young, Vlad brings over 14 years of DJ experience that began with a defining residency at XS Club in Iași.Over time, Vlad’s refined sound has reached audiences across multiple continents through consistent touring. His international appearances include standout shows at D-Edge in São Paulo, S.A.S.H in Sydney, and Breakfast Club in Melbourne. He also marked his African debut with a performance in Casablanca, expanding his global footprint. Alongside touring, his studio work has taken centre stage with the launch of his vinyl imprint Kontent.
