Caesar Augustus (Kings and Kingdoms #8)

In this episode, the conversation explores the life and impact of Caesar Augustus, the Roman emperor, and contrasts his reign with the teachings of Jesus. The discussion covers Augustus's rise to power, the establishment of the Pax Romana, and the cultural achievements during his rule. It also delves into the implications of Roman authority during Jesus's time and how Jesus's message of the Kingdom of God stands in stark contrast to the Roman Empire's values. The episode concludes with reflections on the eternal nature of God's kingdom versus the temporary power of earthly rulers, setting the stage for the next season's focus on the life of Jesus.
