Cairo Fred (Desson Thomson and Brad Heck) on Living On Music

Desson Thomson (lead vocals) & Brad Heck (guitar) -- co-founders of DC-area based band Cairo Fred, and the main co-writers of the band -- talk about their longtime collaboration as both musicians and friends; they met back in the 70's, have written music together since the 80s, and have played together in various lineups which ultimately became Cairo Fred in 2000. Since then the band has won numerous music awards, and were Wammie-nominated most recently in 2022.
