Cal Poly Stuns Idaho in Overtime Thriller | Spokane News

Cal Poly pulled off a heart-stopping 38-34 comeback win over Idaho, sealing it with a nine-second touchdown pass from Anthony Grigsby Jr. Idaho had taken the lead with a field goal late, but Cal Poly struck back with a big play to clinch victory. Despite Joshua Wood’s strong performance and Tony Harste’s standout receiving night, Idaho fell for the first time ever against Cal Poly — a team historically seen as a Big Sky underdog. With over 500 total yards, Cal Poly’s offense dominated, while Idaho’s defense couldn’t stop the explosive plays. The loss puts pressure on coach Thomas Ford Jr., while Cal Poly, led by new head coach Tim Skipper, gets a huge confidence boost after a dramatic, resilient win.
