Calgary Fire at Ecco Landfill | Calgary News

Calgary’s firefighting crews are battling a stubborn landfill blaze at Ecco’s facility, with smoke impacting local air quality and prompting urgent legal action. Though a court has already banned Ecco from storing dry waste at their recycling site, the fire rages deeper in the landfill — forcing the city to seek another injunction to halt waste intake and enforce proper closure. Firefighters are using water, soil, and heavy machinery to tackle flames fueled by decades of buried waste. Alberta’s government is monitoring air quality closely, noting minimal risk for most residents but warning vulnerable individuals may experience irritation. The city vows to hold Ecco accountable while prioritizing public safety. Listen in comfort:Get a discount on a Soli Pillow: http://solipillow.com/discount/dnn.
