Calgary’s 14-Year-Old Highland Dance Champion | Calgary News

At just 14, Calgary’s Sadie Love shattered records by becoming the first Juvenile World Champion Highland Dancer from Alberta — and Canada — after clinching gold at the historic Cowal Gathering in Scotland. Already a two-time Canadian champion, she soared past her fourth-place finish from last year to claim the title in front of global talent, calling it surreal to win in the sport’s homeland. Grateful for her coaches, family, and supporters — including her Calgary-based team and online mentor Kate DeGood — Sadie’s victory is a triumph of grit, passion, and dedication.
