Calgary’s Hidden Water Crisis | Calgary News

Calgary’s getting a major water upgrade with $29 million federal funding for a critical north Calgary project — delivering 100 million litres of clean water daily. Phase one, already underway since last fall, includes new pipes and upgraded reservoirs and pumps, backed by $94 million from the city. This isn’t just about convenience — it’s about redundancy, especially after recent major breaks. The full $533 million project finishes in 2029, with a possible 14% rate hike in 2027 to cover costs. Watch for potential watering restrictions starting Sept 15 — a final call is expected next week. Listen in comfort:Get a discount on a Soli Pillow: http://solipillow.com/discount/dnn.
