Calgary’s Historic City Hall is 108 years old

Calgary’s Historic City Hall is 108 years old and the only surviving city hall from this time period in Western Canada.  It’s been there through it all: Elections, natural disasters and the Olympics.    Did you know that initially Historic City Hall wasn’t just the seat of civic government but also served as a court and a jail?    The building has always been a part of democracy in Calgary hosting election voting, ballot counting and Committee meetings.
