Calgary’s New Year-Round Water Slide | Calgary News

Calgary’s iconic Village Square Leisure Centre is getting a jaw-dropping upgrade with a brand-new, fully enclosed water slide set to debut by end of 2027 — replacing the beloved (but aging) Thunder Slide from 1994. Part of a $51 million overhaul, this high-tech slide features dazzling color-changing lights and will operate year-round, no matter the weather. Beyond slides and pools, the centre serves as a vital community hub, welcoming over 300,000 visitors annually with services ranging from libraries to healthcare. The city’s got big plans to keep the fun going strong — and Calgarians are already buzzing for what’s next. Listen in comfort:Get a discount on a Soli Pillow: http://solipillow.com/discount/dnn.
