Calhoun's Transfer Surge Aims for NCAA Return | Big 12 Basketball News

Cincinnati Bearcats basketball is poised for a major leap under new head coach Jerrod Calhoun, who’s brought in a record 12 transfers—including four from his former team, Utah State—to build a championship-caliber roster. Ranked fourth in the Big 12 and 23rd nationally, this transfer class includes standout forward Adlan Elamin, a 6’9” leader who averaged nearly seven points and three rebounds per game last season and is considered one of the top players at his position. Calhoun, who led Utah State to a conference title and NCAA Tournament berth, is now aiming to end Cincinnati’s NCAA drought since 2019—and the Bearcats’ new roster is already making waves.
