CALLED - A Call to Fast

I'm surprised that many followers of God don't fully understand the wonderful God-enriched call to fast. Throughout the Bible, every Christian generation has chosen to fast as a regular means of displaying a heart of surrender and dependence on God. A fasting time is a dedicated time of need that accompanies prayer. When we fast, it is our response to God with the desperation of need, repentance and even a time of mourning in humility before our God. Friend, fasting is not easy in the flesh, but the SPIRITUAL benefits are out of this world. Jesus calls and expects us to fast. ‘When you fast’ (Matthew 6). Every time someone fasts –I mean this- something happens. Join us as we fast food, time, TV, music, coffee, or other things, and spend that time before God in whatever way you can. Please speak with your doctor or specialist before you choose to fast - food for any period of time.
