Called By God

Luke 1:34-38; John 2:1-5; John 19:23-27 In the Garden of Eden God presented Eve to Adam, and Adam to Eve. He entrusted them to each other. They were to be helpers to each other in life, and they became husband and wife. God has continued to do this down through the ages, bringing men and women together and creating families. Then, the Lord entrusted Adam and Eve with a tiny, helpless little baby, and Adam and Eve became Father and Mother, and their lives were even more complete. God entrusts husbands and wives to each other to help them be complete in this world. He entrusts children to us with the call to help each child become the person God created them to be. In helping us all to be the unique person God has created us to be, God has given us examples in the Bible as to how to do this. Being a mother is no exception, and we find one of the best examples on motherhood in Mary, the mother of Jesus.
