Called To Be Saints

from His24-7.com · host Rev. Joel D. McMahon III

Romans 1:1-7 A saint, from a Biblical view, is anyone who has heard the call of God through His Son, Jesus Christ, and has responded to that invitation by repenting, turning from the ways of the world and the flesh, and started following Jesus. They have been washed and cleansed by His precious blood and made righteous and pure in the sight of God. The word saints means holy ones. Holy means set apart for the service of God. You see, that is every born again believer. They have been set apart from the world, and are now in the service of God. A saint is not one who has been exalted; a saint is one who exalts Jesus Christ. A person becomes a saint when Jesus Christ becomes his Savior. There are only two classes of people in the world: the saints and the ain'ts. If you are not an ain't, then you're a saint. And if you are a saint, you have trusted Christ. It is not your character that makes you a saint, it's your faith in Jesus Christ and the fact that you are set apart for Him. As Paul said of himself in the beginning, he was a bondslave of Jesus Christ.

Wisdom's Proof JesusLifeTogether In a world of religion, ritual, hierarchy, control, money, marketing, and more flavors than 10,000 Baskin Robbins — how can we know what is Right and True? Some just give up. Bad move. JESUS LIVES and REIGNS! Some simply "go along to get along" to conform to culture and biological family. Really bad move, unless you are a lemming and don't care about the destiny someone else has chosen for you. But then JESUS, knowing this day would come, said, "By their fruit you shall know them" and "Wisdom is PROVED RIGHT by all her CHILDREN." Luke 7:35 Find some random offspring from whatever you wish you knew more about, look carefully at the second generation, and see if the gates of Hell are prevailing — as they would in a "mere words" and "mere ceremonies" attendance-based religious organization. OR, is satan getting busted in the mouth by that second generation? What is the fruit and the quality of LIVES of the children - once they can make their own choices? Then you'll Know. Wisdom is PROVED
