It’s so easy to let the weightiness of life affect what should be second nature to us. Having a great day and someone asks you for a dollar? That’s easy enough. Having a bad day on the heels of a bad week and someone asks you for the same dollar? You might not find yourself at the same answer as easily. But the truth? Generosity, and the compassion that empowers it, are at the center point of who we’re called to be as believers, who God is, and what He’s called us to extend of ourselves. Each opportunity to be generous, especially when it costs us, is invitation straight from Heaven to know more of Him and His heart.
