“Calling Down Fire” by Pastor Dan Tackett. Today is our back to school service at Pineview Church in Ypsilanti MI. Before we send our babies off to school we wanted to have a service where we could put a hedge of protection around them. In the Bible the prophet Elijah called down fire to prove to the prophets of bail that he served the one true God. I think it's time that the church starts calling down fire to prove that there is a God still on the throne. The God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob is still alive and well today, so let's use the authority that Jesus Christ gave us to put a hedge of protection around the things that are most precious to us.
