Calls for New Bus Stop on N17 to Serve Ballymote-Collooney Route

Calls are being made on the Local Authority in Sligo to work with the National Transport Authority to provide a new bus stop along the N17 between Ballymote and Collooney.Councillor Dara Mulvey says many residents, particularly elderly people and students, are forced to travel several miles to access the 977 service into Sligo town.The FG Councillor says there are safe and suitable locations along the route where a stop could be introduced.Speaking to Ocean FM News, Cllr Mulvey believes a stop along this stretch would greatly benefit elderly residents and students who rely on public transport.
