Welcome again to my next ‘CALM IN THE STORM:  GUIDED MEDITATIONS FOR TODAY’S WORLD’, where we will explore tools and practices to help you find peace amidst the chaos. Let’s now move on to the transformative power of guided meditations-especially in those times when calmness is more needed than ever. In just about 8 minutes, I’ll share some stories, insights into why meditation is indeed crucial today to calm our minds and some of the latest apps making meditation accessible for everyone.  So, find a comfortable spot and let’s begin.  In times lets these, guided meditations a not just a luxury, they are a necessity.  They serve as a  bridge back to ourselves, grounding us in the present moment, and helping us move away the chaos with lots of clarity. Imagine the hustle-bustle in a busy city street with people screaming, animals moving, vehicles honking and what not?  Suddenly picture yourself stepping into a quiet peaceful park right in the middle of it.  Guided meditation acts as that peaceful and serene park, offering mental escape whenever you need it.  This waswhen I had to go on transfer to a new place and the irony was my hubby had totake care of my teenage children.  He hadto juggle between his work and home. There wasutter confusion and chaos in my home-front. This was when I was initiated to Reiki meditation.  This brought in a colossal metamorphosis inmy thought process.  I closed my eyes andlistened to my guruji’s calming voice guiding me through breath awareness andaffirmations I felt my tensions melting away. In those tranquil moments I was transported from stress to serenity thatsimple practice recharged my mind and helped me face my life with renewedstrength and vigour.  It’s almost 25years since and I still do my Reiki meditation and I am a Reiki Healer now witha master’s Degree. Now a days,we have the guided meditations which direct your focus away from racingthoughts and onto Your breath, body or a calming visualization.  Theyactivate the parasympathetic nervous system, the part responsible for rest anddigestion and reduce stress hormones like cortisol. Even a few minutes of guided medication can·       Improve concentration.·       Lower anxiety.·       Enhance emotional resilience.·       Promote better sleep.And make youbetter. Today unlikeour times technology makes meditation easier than ever.  Some of the latest apps include ·       Calm -    which offers a variety of guidedmeditations, sleep stories and breathing exercises.·       Headspace – known for its beginner-friendly approach and science-backed content.·       Insight timer – features thousands offree guided meditations and talks. My lifeMeditations: Personalized sessions based on your mood and needs. Aura: combines meditation, sleep stories and life coaching.Friends these are just a few you can google and get more according to your likes. Now a shortbreak from this…………. Let’s try a quick one-minute breathing exercise together.  Please sit comfortably, close your eyes and take a deep breath in and hold for a moment and exhale slowly. If you repeat this for about 5 times you will feel a so relaxed and can observe all tension and pressure leaving your body. This is the simplest way to get rid of all your tension. Remember friends, amidst all the pressures and chaos in this world, just a few moments of guided meditation can be your sanctuary. It’s a gentle reminder that within us lies a sea of calmness, waiting to be tapped whenever we need it. Hope you were able to feel a little better after listening to my podcast. Thanks ever so much for spending these moments with me. If you found this helpful, please subscribe for more insights, and please share this episode with someone who might need a little peace today. Breathe deep,stay present, and be calm and poised.Until next time it is your host Leena Madan signing off. Love you all.  Bye bye.Thank you.
