Calm Sense Series Ep.8 - Visual Tracking

from Mellow Moods Hosted by Jessica

In this episode, children are guided to use gentle eye movements to follow slow, predictable patterns. By tracking movement side to side, up and down, and in soft shapes, children can begin to feel more organised, focused, and settled in their bodies. Children are invited to use their finger, an object, or simply imagine a moving light; with full choice over how they engage. Parent & Teacher Notes This episode is grounded in trauma-informed and neurodivergent-affirming practice, offering predictable, low-demand sensory input. Visual tracking supports:• attention and focus• nervous system regulation• visual-motor integration It can be used:• during transitions• as a calming reset• to support focus and learning readiness Children may follow, watch, imagine, or rest; all responses are welcome.

The Moodment Holly Teegarden Having reset my life, I decided to leave the corporate world and pursue my passion for helping people live their lives to the fullest. I am a certified life coach specializing in digital detox, self-care, and building actionable life plans. In 2019, I opened a wellness boutique and followed it up in 2023 with a women's cannabis wellness retreat company and a line of cannabis apparel. I have realized that our wellness largely depends on our MOOD. This inspired me to create a MOODment through my podcast and blog to empower individuals to achieve what they truly deserve by shifting their moods. The podcast balances between being a little woo-woo and 100% practical. It will cover topics such as astrology, fitness, wellness, essential oils, stress, digital detox, self-care, meditation, sleep, nutrition, and more.
