Calynco “Electric Moon”

from Recent Releases

Calynco is an instrumental group featuring Steel Pan (aka steel drum, an instrumented developed in Trinidad relatively recently) and flamenco style guitar. I added electric bass and percussion to the guitar and pan tracks which were recorded in Nashville at RCA Studio B and Oceanway. RCA studio B hasn’t changed a bit since artists like Elvis Presley, Roy Orbison, Willie Nelson, and Dolly Parton put it on the map. It was an honor to be making music there and playing on Elvis’ favorite Steinway piano in between takes. Here’s a photo of RCA B from the control room looking into the tracking room.
