Cameron-Brooks Podcast Episode 2: Who and What Defines Success, Overcoming Obstacles, and Work Life Balance

from PCS to Corporate America

Beth Gulitus served 10 years as an Air Force Aircraft Maintenance Officer and transitioned through the Cameron-Brooks program to a Sales position with Johnson & Johnson in 1991.  25 years later, she is still with Johnson & Johnson, where she rose to Regional Sales Director and led a team of sales and marketing professionals, totaling approximately 200 people, responsible for $440 million in sales.  She has hired and mentored numerous successful JMOs in her career.  Beth and her husband David are the parents of two successful children, one that graduated from the United States Merchant Marine Academy and another who also works for Johnson & Johnson.  In this episode Beth shares her insights on: How she balanced being a successful professional and parent. The importance of enjoying life’s journey. Overcoming obstacles or career burnout and helping others do the same. Her definition of success.  Beth made a conscious decision to take step back in her professional career and have less responsibility.  She explains why she made that decision and how not to let others or society define success for you.
