It was truly a pleasure to sit down with one of my favorite musicians and storytellers. If you've been in the music 'scene' as long as I have, you came to understand the powerful musicianship of Cameron Williams over his lengthy music career. This was a special episode - and I am happy to share it with you!We discuss living in the Colorado mountains, his introduction to music at an early age via the piano and ukulele, and his eventual bands Black Creek Band and Tishamingo. We take a trip down memory lane as we discuss other bands that were prominent on the Athens, GA (and southeast more broadly) music scene, and talk about working with John Keane, his friendship with Eric Carter, Eric Martinez, Betsy Franck, Sam Holt, and others. We chat about his songwriting process, and where he finds inspiration to write and perform.
