Camp Crisis

from The Weekend Bible Study - with Ronald L. Dart Hosted by Ronald L. Dart

A crisis is an unstable time or state of affairs in which a decisive change is impending. It’s that moment when something will happen which will change everything that comes after it in a crucial way. After leaving the bondage of Egypt, Israel had come to a place in the desert just south of Palestine—the land they were instructed to go into, conquer, occupy, and in which they were to flourish. Before they left Sinai, God had told them: You have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagles' wings, and brought you unto myself. Now therefore, if you will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then you shall be a special treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine: And you shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and a holy nation. These are the words which you shall speak unto the children of Israel. Exodus 19:4–6 KJ2000 Encamped in that desert—in Camp Crisis—Israel faced a decision.
