Campaigner Says Clare Healthcare "At A Standstill" Ahead Of Dáil Recess

from Clare FM · host Clare FM

The Health Minister is being accused of leaving Clare "at a standstill" ahead of the Dáil recess on Thursday. More than four months on from the announcement that the HSE has purchased a 44-acre site in Raheen in Limerick for the purpose of developing a new hospital campus, the hospital development board has yet to be established. As well as making decisions relating to the Raheen facility, the board will oversee the expansion of services at Ennis, Nenagh and St John's. Friends of Ennis Hospital spokesperson Angela Coll says nothing can be progressed at the Midwest's smaller hospitals until the board is assembled.
