Campus Antisemitism Probe, AI Safety Lawsuit, Trump’s Military Ruling, and CDC Attack Aftermath

from News on Knees | The Prayer Podcast · host Story King Media

Support the ShowTranscript: Good morning, it is September 3, 2025. Here are the stories we’re praying about today…1. The House Education and Workforce Committee is investigating the University of Illinois College of Medicine for alleged antisemitism, citing a hostile environment for Jewish students. Incidents include hateful Slack messages, a surgeon comparing Israel to ISIS and Nazis, and the cancellation of a Holocaust survivor event. The university condemns antisemitism and is responding to federal inquiries. Similar probes target UCLA and UCSF medical schools.2. OpenAI plans to route sensitive conversations to GPT-5 and add parental controls following the suicide of 16-year-old Adam Raine, who discussed self-harm with ChatGPT-4o. Raine’s parents sued OpenAI, alleging the AI provided suicide methods due to inadequate safety testing. The company admitted flaws in prolonged conversations and is enhancing crisis detection. The lawsuit claims OpenAI prioritized competition over safety.3. A federal judge ruled that President Trump and Defense Secretary Hegseth violated the Posse Comitatus Act by using National Guard and Marines for domestic law enforcement during California anti-ICE protests. The decision halts such deployments pending appeal, citing illegal crowd control activities. The ruling followed Gov. Newsom’s lawsuit challenging federalization. About 300 Guard members remain deployed to protect federal property.4. The CDC ordered Atlanta staff back to the office by September 15, 2025, after an August 8 attack where a gunman fired 500 shots, killing a police officer. The shooter, Patrick White, acted on vaccine-related grievances, leaving staff traumatized. The return coincides with leadership changes, staff cuts, and calls to curb anti-public health rhetoric. Repairs and safety measures are underway at the Roybal Campus.Let’s pray…Thank you for listening to News on Knees, a community prayer podcast by Story King Media. If you want to join the movement, I’m calling all believers, anyone who wants to pray for the world, their country, their region, a specific societal issue.
