As the day progresses, you take the stranger into the centre of the village where market day is in full swing. The hustle and bustle of life masks the fear that lurks beneath the surface of the village folk. yet despite the fear, market day has always been a more joyous occurrence. Being the central-most village among a variety of other smaller holds and farmsteads means that market day is the one time that old friends and distant family get to meet up and reconnect. None of them, however, compares to your new companion's personal enthusiasm. His charm is infectious, and he makes friends with relative ease. It strikes you, the contrast between this man who walks beside you and the creature you know that lurks within him. He seems fascinated by every little thing. It is as if he comes from such a distant land that commonplace pastimes are completely alien to him, and every new thing fascinates him thoroughly. Though as the day goes on, you notice a shadow that hides behind the stranger's cheer. As if he overcompensates for his joy to cover some kind of nervousness.
