The Nicene Creed was composed at a council called by a Christian Prince, the first Christian Emperor of Rome, Constantine I.Constantine used the power and resources of the state to legalize the Christian religion and then to gather the leadership of the church to settle doctrinal controversy.The Nicene Creed, one of the core confessional statements throughout the history of the church is inherently anti-pluralistic.
