Can Blakeman Pull Off the Upset?

from The Sean Hannity Show · host Sean Hannity

Sean Hannity and Bill O'Reilly break down Bruce Blakeman's high-stakes New York gubernatorial debate with Kathy Hochul and ask whether Republicans could be on the verge of a major political upset. They examine Blakeman's attacks on sanctuary policies, crime and soaring utility costs, while debating whether New York has reached a political tipping point. Sean and O'Reilly also challenge conventional election forecasts, assess the fight for control of the Senate and discuss whether voters in traditionally Democratic states could defy expectations in November. This is an iHeart Podcast. Guaranteed Human. I believe that whoever was in that room and did that was murder. A new podcast series, Fault Line Haditha, tells the story of a shocking crime and a coverup at the highest levels of the United States Marine Corps.

If you've got five players and you offer a unity to four, you better be right about the fifth, because if you're not, then you're just giving a unity to your color. Listen to Fault Line Haditha on the iHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. So we know a little something about kicking balls. Each week we'll tackle things like, who's winning the Premier League this year? What do you think it's harder? It's wearing a penalty kick or it's going to feel cold.

Join us each week for a quick chat with your soccer loving girls about the best sport in the world. Soccer, just don't tell my coaches I said that. Listen to Big Kick Energy on the iHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you listen to podcasts. Hey, it's Drew Franklin from NFL Covers Zero.

The 2026 season is underway, and we are loving football on TV. Here's what you can expect from the podcast in our second season. I would suggest for these preseason games, I think they should do what they do on the NFL draft. You know, when coverage of the NFL draft is basically for moms, and they're just like, Hey, he has a dog named Spark.

Listen to NFL Covers Zero on the iHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. All right, Leonard Skynard, Simpleman. That can only mean one thing on this radio program, and that is all things, so proclaim Simpleman. That means all things Bill O'Reilly, all things Bill O'Reilly at Bill O'Reilly.com.

Mr O'Reilly, three weeks from today, you will be on this program and we will be discussing election results. With that said, there was a huge debate for the New York gubernatorial race, and I say this through the prism of a statement that I've been making off in, which is Bruce Blakeman in New York, and Steve Hilton out in California are the last great best hope to save these states, in my humble opinion. There's a new poll out, and this is now a neck and neck race at 4744. A poll affinity survey came out today.

This is pre, this is before the debate, by the way. A couple of big moments, Mr O'Reilly, let me play them for you. This is your state. I have tried to, I've done everything by getting on my hands and knees and peg you to move to Florida.

Here is Bruce Blakeman asking Cathy Hokel to apologize to the victims of crimes by illegals, it being a sanctuary state. Here's what happened. Governor Hokel, under your sanctuary policies, a 14 year old girl was raped recently here in New York state by an illegal migrant. Four Arandaquat residents were killed recently by an illegal migrant.

Two of those victims were children under the age of five. Two Nassau County women in their 30s were killed by an illegal migrant because of your sanctuary policies. Will you apologize to that 14 year old girl whose life has forever changed and her family and the families of those who are killed, the ones that'll never get to sit in another Thanksgiving dinner, never be able to open their president's and their president's on their Christmas tree. Will you apologize to them?

And will you please return Sheridan Gorman's parents' calls to talk to you about your sanctuary policy? You know, any crime is heartbreaking. There's a family left with a huge hole in their heart. And I pour all crimes, regardless of the perpetrator, victims deserve our sympathy, they deserve our compassion.

And that's why I've laser focused on making New York so much safer than it had been before. And that's all, Kelly. You never would have happened, but for your sanctuary policy, you have invited criminals to come into our state and prey on our communities. Now, this has been happening around the country.

Abdul Al-Sai had got crushed by Mike Rogers. Annie Andrews in South Carolina got crushed by Darlene Graham, Senator Darlene Graham. And Bill O'Reilly, I'll go one clip at a time to give you time to respond. That was devastating.

Devastating, but I would say that still Cathy Hockl's the favorite because your state is so radical left. I can't deny that, but if you take New York City out of the equation, Blakeman would win by 10. And so you have this hardcore voting group in the city. And a lot of them are radical leftists who want to destroy the system we have, not only in the state and city of New York, but across the country, say they're in California.

Now, I think Blakeman has a good chance to win, particularly if he can sprint the last couple of weeks, with a lot of TV ads about the debate, because very few people saw the debate. It was not on a major television network, but he can take clips out of it. So I think there's a chance, Hilton's not gonna win. Good campaigner, very energetic, level-headed guy.

But California's gone, it's not coming back. New York is not that far gone yet, because most- I think this is your last best, great hope, Bruce Blakeman. I think this is it, Bill. Otherwise, you will be California.

I think that might be overstating a bit, and I'll tell you why. Blakeman is in an excellent job running in the National Academy where I live. So I know he's done a very, very good job. And even if he loses, what Hoka is going to do when she's re-elected for the next four years will be so horrendous for the working people of New York state, NC, that another candidate, maybe Blakeman himself, he can run again, in four years should be able to beat her or the Democratic nominee because of the taxes.

And it- Let me tell you why I think you're wrong, because I think if Blakeman loses this race, I think you will see another wave of mass migration out of New York, which will precipitously drop the odds of any Republican ever winning in the future. You already have Wall Street South. You have more people from Wall Street firms, private equity, big banks, investment firms that are in South Florida, some of them are moving to Texas, but mostly South Florida. And they're just going to move their entire operations down here, Bill.

And if she is elected and she bows at the Altar-Mum-Dani, I don't see it. There's far more working people in New York state than corporate types. You may be right, I mean, it's hard to speculate on it. But they work, but they work for big firms also, Bill.

They have people at all different levels of management, all different levels of the jobs that they create. Look at, for example, Ken Griffin taking $6 billion out of New York after he got docked by Mum-Dani. I know, but then Dani wants that to happen. But the working people in New York, if you have kids in school and you're established too, you don't want to move.

You're not high-telling it out of here, but there's going to be trouble. And then Dani is, I don't even, New York city's gone. It's not coming back either is Los Angeles. I wanted your opinion on something, and when I say that my leg shakes.

That is not a very nice thing to say. After all these years, I can't believe you're being mean to me. But go ahead. Don't get sensitive on me, Aria.

I'm becoming a snowflake. Go ahead. OK, Cook, which is the political analytics firm. Cook Report.

Right. And they came out and said that the heavy odds are the Democrats are going to win both the Senate and the House. OK, this is what Cook says. Cal C betting market, same thing, but not as extreme as Cook.

And there's something called Vote Hub, same thing, not as extreme. So I went back and I looked about, uh, looked up Cook for the 2024 presidential race, when a lot of senators and Congress people are up. They got, they got whacked. They got whacked.

Cook wasn't even close. Wasn't he? Let me tell you something as you're tapping into a vein here that has been a theme on the show. If you go back to the Michigan primary, Abdul El-Sayed was supposed to win by more than 20 points.

He won by less than a point. Francesca Hong was supposed to win anywhere from 20 to 30 points. And she lost the race. The polling of Donald Trump in 16, 20, and 24.

And the predictions of people like Cook and others have been historically atrocious. That's why I'm telling people, don't listen to the polls. Just assume your vote will be the deciding vote for whatever race you're voting on. Well, I'd say good advice.

And, uh, but the problem is that the media went and recently social media passed linear media as far as people consuming it. Um, I don't know what you knew that or not, but this is a wave that's not going to receive. But the corporate media will cite the Cook report a thousand times, but never tell their listeners and viewers how wrong Cook was two years ago. We had Matt Towery on this program at Towery.

Now the last three presidential elections nailed it dead, even. And he is he along with Robert Cahaly of Trafalgar, John McLachlan, associates, uh, Rasmussen to a certain extent as well. They, they tend to get these elections right. Let me play another clip here.

And this is Bruce Blakeman calling out Hokel for raising utility costs and all the costs in New York. And by the way, when all of these people leave and more businesses leave and if I'm right, there's another wave of migration out of New York state, they're going to have less money to lean on. And I'll add one other thing though, is New York City alone with less than nine million people as a bigger budget than the entire state of Florida. Florida has superior schools, infrastructure, policing, quality of life issues.

But here's Bruce Blakeman from yesterday. Donald Trump didn't raise utility rates 48 times. You did. Donald Trump didn't increase our utility bills by 50% since you become governor.

You gave $150 back to people in a rebate in an election year right before the election, when you've raised the average bill $4,000 a year and your own energy research department says your policies will raise another $4,000 in the next five years. It's out of control and it's because of you, Kathy. Now, one last thing. She did have a Joe Biden moment bill.

Let me play that. Now we're not done yet. And you're going to hear a lot of a lot of different opinions here this evening. All right.

So is this debate and you point out rightly was not widely viewed. Will this go viral enough in New York state to make a difference? Because I think he crushed it. Yeah.

Impossible to know because the press here is not a free press. We don't New York doesn't have a free press. All of the newspapers are ideological one way or the other, which interestingly enough is the history of the city. It's always been that way, but now it's hyper steroids now.

So you don't know north of Westchester County. For those of you who don't live in New York, that's about 50 miles north of the city. You don't know how those folks up there are getting their information because they couldn't watch this. I couldn't watch it on 15 miles away from where the debate was.

So it's very, very hard to predict it. What you will see though is a McLachlan report. And I agree with you that McLachlan is an honest guy. Yes, he's a mercenary.

He gets paid by the Republicans. There's no doubt of that. But he's honest. I mean, it comes on John last time I had him on the nose spin news on Bill O'Reilly, I was a little shaky and he's shaky because of the $2,000 tab from the gasoline pump.

And that's the Democrats biggest concern. OK, but Hocco doesn't have that advantage because Hocco slapped on so many taxes to not only gasoline as a pump when home heating oil and everything else that she can't make that argument because she has added to the pain that New Yorkers feel when they have to buy gas or heat their homes or air condition their homes. So he didn't have that. Where's a lot of places in the USA do have that.

They have that people are angry about the Iranian thing. So it's a toss to me. Remember Zell didn't not nearly as good a campaigner as Blakeman. Blakeman's a good campaigner.

He only lost by six. And that was because black voters in New York City broke 80% plus for Hocco. It was a straight down the line race vote. And I if I had a bet, I think Bruce might win.

I mean, but I'm not going to say that about Hilton. The fix is in in California. I mean, they won't count the votes out there for months and months. So you won't know.

I tend to agree with you. I think his odds are really good for a state like New York, but I'm also, I believe I'm right about the mass migration that would occur if he loses. So three weeks from today, a lot of results will be a Mr. O'Reilly.

If you look at Maine and you look at Michigan and you look at Iowa and you look at Ohio and you look at Texas and you look at Kansas and you look at Nebraska and you look at Alaska, all these key pivotal Senate races around the country. I think the Republicans might be pulling out of North Carolina. I wish they wouldn't, but it looks like they might be. They have a strong income and governor twice elected statewide running as a Democrat.

How do you see this unfolding? Because as I look at the polls that I see, the ones that I trust, the ones that I believe matter, it's a jump ball, built in too many of these races right now. Probably to call them tough situation because you don't have a lot of flow, honest information coming out. So I think Collins will win in Maine.

The other guy Jackson is so radical and I like Maine. I've been there many, many times. I don't understand why it's even close to get my being upset, New Hampshire, the new new may win there. And if they win Maine and New Hampshire, the Republicans, they'll keep the Senate.

I think Minnesota might go Republican with all the fraud and waste there. I can't imagine the voters wanting to put back these people, but it's possible. And the other swing states, Texas should go to the Republicans because that state is a lot of social conservatives, not so much the economic people. So I think the Republicans have a very good shot at keeping the Senate, which is the key to President Trump's future for two and a half years, because the Senate is the most powerful body.

I want to tell you something that you'll be interested in. Is that OK? I know what you're showing. I know.

Go right. You know, to go build whatever you want to do, Bill, we give you full rain to do what you want. Go right ahead. Unless you're going to get me in trouble.

Then I'd rather you do that on your own show. OK, so I do a thing called, we'll do it live. It's a long form. We do want to week, right?

So we have Stephen A Smith on drops tomorrow. It's me and I was just on Stephen A Smith's podcast last week. I wear a tie. That's the only you know, you need one.

It's the only way you can look halfway decent. Thank you, Danny. That was very kind of you. I'm right about that.

But go ahead. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. So anyway, we're talking about you and maybe to the lesser extent and Stephen A's for a into our world.

I mean, we're different guys, but it's the same traditional outlook. And the topic was, can I a white guy from Levitown and your Franklin Square, which is the same thing? Long Island. Can I accurately analyze the experience of the black community?

Fascinating. OK, and I have two chapters on this in my book in front of America, what has to change? One of them involves Barack Obama and Paul McCartney. It is an unbelievable eyewitness history chapter.

So I wanted to get his point of view on whether we have legitimacy in the African American slash minority community, whether those people are listening to us, whether they turn us off because of skin color or economics, whatever it may be. His answer is very, very nuanced, but very interesting. And I wanted to bring it to your attention. And then you could watch the whole thing will do it live.

And you can take lessons on my sartorial splendor, Hannity. Oh, good grief. Will you stop patting yourself on the back? Just make your point.

The point is you should watch it because it's very, very interesting that the two working class white guys, the and you are interested in helping African Americans. I think that's true. OK, a thousand percent. I believe that while you heard me say during the spot I did with region dot edu and that is that God created every man, woman, a child and God put within every person talent that he put there and it's unique to the individual.

And I feel that a strong case can be made that historically blue cities and states have failed our children, our national treasure at a level that is is unprecedented. But you know, if you look at predominantly minority neighborhoods, blue cities, blue states, where the worst schools in those states and cities, where is there more crime? They don't have law and order and safety and security, a prerequisite towards happiness bill. And I believe that that the antidote and there's been a tendency over the years.

And I think it's changing. And I think we'll change even further where Democrats, you know, have had a lock on the minority vote. And I don't believe that they've been served well by the Democratic Party and their policies. I don't believe it at all.

Well, I talk about that heavily with Stephen A. Um, and the, uh, the basic thrust is this, that all Americans have a pathway to prosperity because they have the freedom to develop their talents, but they are not encouraged to do so in many precincts. One more point outside goes on television and says that the reason that kids in Detroit can't learn the way they should is lack of money. So immediately I had my investment here.

Look at Dallas, the two school districts comparable. Detroit spends 40% more per student than Dallas does. And Dallas public schools have a much higher test score base. So this is what else I eat and his ilk is pedaling.

Okay. And it's not true. This is the crux of the battle for the heart and soul of this country. And when I talked to my friends in Maine, New Hampshire, you mentioned, uh, North Carolina, Georgia, uh, people in Michigan, people in Iowa, people in Ohio, people in Texas, people in Kansas, people in Nebraska, people in Alaska.

Uh, that's where the balance of power is going to play out in 20 days from now. And look, I think that Republicans can defy history. I don't have a good feel for sure how this is going to turn out. I can, I can make the case below Riley for Democrats having their blue wave, which would be within historical trending and also, but the fact that they've gone so radical and extreme, it hurting them in ways that they can't even imagine and Republicans holding, you know, at least winning the Senate, maybe winning the house and Senate, I can see both scenarios unfold.

Well, I tell my audience, there's a worth $2,000, which is what you're paying more for energy to see your country blow up. Well, the cost of the green new deal bill, and it's right there in the DSA's, you know, website, you know, is $212 trillion bill. And that's what that is the power structure, the new establishment of the Democratic Party. All right, Mr.

Riley, I'm going to let you go, my friend. Thank you. Thanks for having me. All things below, Riley, billariley.com, sir.

Someone opened the door and was the primary shooter. So if I'll be a good dude that in there, suppress the number. A new podcast series, Fault Line Hadeetha, tells the story the United States government wants to keep buried. How can you not know there were one in children there?

Can you tell us here that you don't know what happened that day? Based on thousands of pages of previously classified documents and over 100 hours of secretly filmed video, the truth about one of the most infamous crimes in Marine Corps history can finally be told. If you've got five players and one of them is guilty of murder at least, and you offer immunity to the other four, you better be right about the fifth, because if you're not, then you're just giving immunity to your color. Listen to Fault Line Hadeetha on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts.

Back to our busy phones, 800-941-Shaunoson number. Paul is one of these TSA supporters. Paul, how are you glad you called? How are you?

It's nice to talk to you. I would make a request at the beginning. And I know you've done it before, a respectful conversation where we don't speak over each other. And I know that we're both in NSA to speak from our truth.

Why don't you just get to the point? What's your point? Right. My point is several times you've said that the radical left intense is destroying the country and you've mentioned the DSA.

And I'm happy to talk about any particular parts of their platform that you think is inherently destructive. Well, OK, let's go over the list, shall we? Do you support eliminating the US Senate? I support restructuring.

OK, this is a problem. You see, I ask you a straightforward question and you don't want to answer it. So for me to get an answer, I have to fight you to get an answer because the DSA has on their website to eliminate the US Senate. Do you support that?

Yes or no? It's a yes or no answer. Yes. You do.

Do you want to take away the right of the people to choose their president? No, I want to give people the right to choose. I don't need you to expand that. Do you want to pack the courts with more judges, for example, on the Supreme Court?

I want to change. Yes or no, it's a yes or no question. You can't phrase a question. You're what?

You can't I can phrase the question because I'm reading from their website. I know. Do you have a right? Let me let me make it easier for you.

Do you want to abolish borders and give amnesty to all illegals? Yes. Do you want to abolish ICE? Absolutely.

Do you want to defund the Department of War? Yes. Do you want to abolish prisons and police? Yes.

I want to change the criminal justice system. OK, do you want public ownership, meaning the government owns most corporations, establish a wealth tax and implement the $212 trillion Green New Deal, cradle to grave, womb to tomb, communism, socialism, whatever you want to call it? Absolutely. OK, so we just fundamentally disagree.

You will shred the US Constitution as we know it and you will turn this into a socialist communist utopia. It has been tried before and it has failed. And if America has to learn lessons the hard way, it would be a shame. And I don't know if there's any coming back from it if you want to know the truth.

OK, now can I respond? I'll give you one minute to respond. OK, it's not a communist socialist debacle that you frequently refer to using Cuba and and Venezuela. It's a socialist system like Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland that has the highest health, highest quality of life where schools are free, healthcare is free and their quality of life frees amongst the highest in the world.

I have a problem with a congressional system that has a stranglehold by three people that allows a $4.6 trillion tax cut to go through. And you say everyone gets a tax break to the tune of $240 for the usual Joe and billions for others. And you read out the second part that says, and we're going to gut your Medicaid and your cost of health care is going to go up 22. No, there's no gutting of Medicaid.

That's a lie. Your examples are fraudulent. Number two, I don't have enough time to debunk them. Number three, everything that you describe, Obamacare, no promises were kept.

Social security, the lockbox was rated. Government schools are failing our children at the highest level. And we spend more per capita than any industrialized country. And you would destroy America with your open borders policies and no Department of War.

Are you out of your mind? You not realize America has sworn enemies like Iran and Russia and China and North Korea. What do you think is going to happen if America doesn't defend the free world? So I don't know.

What do you think I asked you? What is going to happen? I don't get my full 60 seconds of that. No, you actually, I timed it.

You got more than 60 seconds. You got a minute and 15 seconds. Okay, you said several things. Would you like me to respond to a particular one?

Yeah, less than a minute. We're done. Okay. You refer to the criminal justice system, the criminal justice system in this country incarcerates 20 times more people than any other of the industrial nations.

We are currently spending $225 billion per year. And if you extended to the D.D. You're just appearing in the whole name and everything else associated. We're talking $445 billion a year that costs the average taxpayer about $2,000 a year.

You are willing to put your faith hope, trust and future in the hands of a government that can't even educate our kids, even though we spend the most money. You're going to put your faith, hope and trust in a government that said they're going to put your social security retirement, a lockbox, and they rated it. You're going to put your faith, hope and trust in a government that made a promise, keep your doctor, keep your plan and the average family saves over $2,500 per year. If that's where you want to put your hope, you can.

I believe in our framers and our founders. I believe in liberty. I believe in freedom. I believe in a meritocracy.

I believe hard work pays off in America and opportunities will go away. And all those evil rich people that moved out of New York and California and New Jersey and Illinois will move out of the country and they'll take their money with them. Good luck with your socialist dreams because you will become Cuba. 800, 941 Sean, our number if you want to be a part of the program.
