Can Carlton quash the criticism?

It's been both a very short and very long week for the Carlton Football Club and its fans. Can they bring 'maximum effort' tonight against Port Adelaide?  Both clubs have omitted four players, is it the change they need or too much pressure for debutant players? Would Port be enjoying Carlton being in the spotlight? And surely a draw would be the worst-case scenario for both clubs.
