Can our Culture Awaken?

from Belief Busters · host Sheree Taylor-Jones

Join us on this episode of Belief Busters as we continue to asks the tough questions. We discuss how our earliest interactions with those of other races can create an unconscious bias of viewing those people of different races as others, something/someone to fear. The good news is we have the power to challenge those fears and awaken to realizing that race is a human construct! Rev. Dr. Ahriana Platten has been referred to as an experiential  theologian because she leans toward an understanding of the Holy that is  based on personal experience and the subjective discernment of reality.  Ahriana is a business strategist, and spiritual educator, who has  traveled the world and explored its cultural differences and human  similarities. Deeply committed to interfaith education and dialogue, Ahriana serves as  an Ambassador for the Parliament of the World’s Religions, leads the  Colorado Springs Interfaith Collaboration, and, with a panel of clergy  from various faiths, she writes for and coordinates the publication of  “In Good Faith” a weekly interfaith newspaper column offering expert  opinions of a spiritual and personal nature. She hosts a weekly podcast  of the same name.
