Can the Healthcare Crisis in America be Solved? Dr. Myles Schneider Thinks So.
from Burke Allen's Big Time Talker Podcast — by SpeakerMatch · host Burke Allen
What if a doctor in the Washington, DC area discovered how to solve a healthcare financing problem that has been around for what seems a millennium? What if he wrote a book describing how he would virtually solve the health crisis that has vexed the experts and caused political turmoil and divisiveness for years? What if he based his monetary incentives aimed at creating a healthy America by rewarding those who take steps to avoid being unhealthy? Today we talk with Dr. Myles Schneider about his book "Restoring 'Health' to Healthcare" and how he came up with his no-nonsense, uncomplicated plan that actually deals with the root problems and financing of health care. The son of a doctor whose mother was a dietician, Schneider has spent nearly 60 years in the medical field as a podiatrist. He has devoted much of his adult life to healthy living and extensive research on wellness. This led to the realization that what we perceive as the cause of our health care crisis - the cost of premiums, copays and deductibles - are serious concerns but they are not the cause of the problem. Until and unless we acknowledge the real cause of our health care dilemma, we will never get it under control. Dr. Schneider's book does exactly that.
