Should we just ‘log off’ and listen to our own devices?This week on Blonde Vibrations, we’re getting a little bit meta - in a world of dilemma discussing podcasts, and Dolly Alderton’s survival guides to finding love in London… Should we really be taking romantic advice from strangers? We know, pot calling kettle black, but hear us out!We have grown up watching pretty much every romantic situation occur in front of our very eyes, graduating from watching ‘Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging’ to ‘How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days’, even witnessing and learning from the many dating mistakes made by relationship columnist, one and only, Carrie Bradshaw. We have truly been conditioned to seek external wisdom. Is it any wonder that social media apps have become our modern day oracle for love, to relate to others while keeping our anonymity intact? But, are we actually looking for guidance, or just validation of what we already believe? Perhaps we just scrolling through an echo chamber of our own thoughts, never challenging our unhealed beliefs.
