Can this break bring me closer to a better end? This is the daily service podcast with Anthony Alignan. When I said my wife and I were getting closer, well, she wasn't my wife at then beyond just co volunteers for my brother's political campaign, which we believed was best for our community. She was also a recommitted Christian, having followed my own decision to renew my faith in Christ early on, having seen the light.

But there was this nagging feeling inside of me. Is it really a commitment to our community that she wants? Is it really a decision for Christ? Or is it really just me?

Was I really being a bridge to the community, a bridge to the Lord? Or was I a hindrance to all she was meant to be? And so I proposed we take a break. A break from seeing each other, from talking to one another, from being the company of each other.

Something we'd gotten used to for six months, day in and day out. And she hated me for it, at least in the beginning. Eventually she accepted it. She swallowed it and stepped back as I too went on my own.

But it is true, when you let go of one who is dearest to you, you find someone dearer still. And it doesn't have to be a person. In this case, it is the one who brought us together in the first place. Psalm 61:2 from the end of the earth I call to you.

When my heart is faint, lead me to the rock that is higher than I. Breaks lead to the following possible precious realizations. Okay, number one, here we go again. Breaks be being moments, not just doing moments.

You realize that you are not what you do when you're on a break. You find value in who you are as you are. Well, it could be good, could be bad, could be ugly, right? But at least it's truth right in front of your face.

What you end up doing is just an overflow of being. Number two Rest and recreation. Valuable moments in themselves prepare you for the longer and more trying roads ahead. Breaks also another R refresh, allowing you to see what you take a break from in a whole new light.

You see what you took a break from from a new perspective. Number three Evaluation from time to time lead to opportunities for higher elevation. What can be done better? You ask this during the break.

What can you do without? Who can you partner with further? Is there a better or more efficient route? Number four Abuse, meaning abnormal use on your life or somebody else's can only be discovered when you step out of a situation and allow for more reflection, more discovery within.

5. Knowing. Knowing means by definition. Apprehending fully breaks to the honest individual bring you back to reality and seeing reality is a key to being free.

So the possible realizations being moments, not just doing rest and recreation evaluation for higher elevation abuse that can be discovered when you step out of the situation and knowing or apprehending fully the truth that sets you free B R E A K Go Take a Break After a few months of not seeing each other, Marcel and I came together again in a couples retreat, leading to a decision to date exclusively and then to engagement and marriage within a few months. It's been 27 years. Well, 28 a couple of months. Can a break bring you closer to the better end?

Psalm 37:23 the steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord. But I love what George Mueller added to this. He said the steps and the stops or the breaks of a good man or woman are ordered by the Lord. Not just the steps, but the stops.

Divinely inspired stops are from the Lord and if they are from him, it must certainly bring us to a better, not bitter end. It's a Friday and once again time to reflect on a few questions. Just three Reflecting that leads to discovering more of what is within. Number one, what kind of break should you take at this point in your life?

Is it from your relationship? Is it from your work? Is it from everybody else? Number two, what kind of break should you give somebody else because you might be the person hindering someone from stepping back?

And finally, number three, what better end can you imagine as you allow a divinely appointed stop not just step to your life today? Dream on my friend. Have a blessed weekend.
