What if all the foliage we clear to protect northern communities from wildfires was turned into biomass? This researcher at the Canadian Forest Service says by "collecting less than one percent of the biomass identified at high risk of wildfire, most communities could completely replace their annual fossil fuel needs." Now, he's looking for communities to take part in a pilot.
