Can We Stop Pretending the Republicans Are not Trying to Kill Us?

I realize we live in a society where everyone starts on the basic assumption that Republicans believe their actions are in the best interest of humanity. All I’m asking is whether or not we deserve to give them that much credit? Particularly when the idea that they are openly laboring to kill us all seems to be a much better explanation for all their actions.We already know that the earlier version of this regime hit us with a pandemic that took the lives of over a million Americans. People are inclined to say, “Well, you can’t blame them for the pandemic, the pandemic is an act of God.”Well, actually we can blame them for the pandemic. Screwworms are also an act of God. That’s why we used to spend 15 million a year on screwworm prevention. But once this Republican regime got in there they thought, “Well, that’s a waste of money.” They eliminated that budget, and now we’re stuck with a screwworm infestation that’s going to cost us a cool billion.I swear, Republicans are the type of people who would try to save $50 bucks on the household budget by not changing the oil in the car. They’re so shortsighted it’s amazing they don’t walk into more walls.They did the same thing in the lead up to COVID. They dismantled the pandemic response team. They told people not to social distance. They told people not to wash their hands.“Don’t live in fear!” they cried as millions of people died.When you take a step back from that and interpret those actions with a bit more discernment, is it really so unreasonable to arrive at the conclusion that a million deaths was their goal?Put it this way, if they deliberately wanted to sabotage the nation and kill the population, what would they do differently?The death plan:* Defund pandemic response team* Use a misinformation campaign to deny the danger* Tell people to not get vaccinated* Mock people for following the advice of doctorsThese are all the steps you’d take if you wanted to maximize death. That’s exactly what the Republicans did! Then people turn around and insist they can’t be blamed for the pandemic!If COVID had been as lethal as say… Ebola, we might have lost half the country. And, oh, when this administration got back into power, one of the first things they did was defund Ebola containment.Gee… again, that’s exactly what you’d do if you wanted to kill people.But it doesn’t stop there. Again, let’s take a step back and try to imagine the hypothetical plan of some megalomaniac who wants to kill off half the world. We’re talking Thanos here.* Defund pandemic response team* Gut the healthcare system* Destroy education* Control the media to limit actual information* Launch a propaganda campaign* Shut down the main shipping route for fertilizer just before planting season by launching an illegal war* Invest in automation (to do the labor when the people are dead)* Invest in data/surveillance centers (to handle the automated labor)* Force farmers to go bankrupt to acquire land for the data centers* Approve of toxic mining to gain the raw materials for technical componentsHave you noticed that every point on this list is exactly what Republicans are doing? Again, let me sum up this mental exercise. We started with the problem of trying to conceive of what a world destruction plan would look like. Once we figured it out, you see that it lines up exactly with everything Republicans are doing.All this is on top of the fact that they’re in violation of the Epstein files transparency act because they are more interested in protecting rich child rapists than all of humanity. Is that the end goal here? Are they trying to remove all the witnesses? Once everyone who has heard about the files (who isn’t already in them), has been eliminated will they be free to build statues to their delusions of grandeur?We’ll have an empty Earth with nothing but data centers and gaudy statues. Here’s an idea, maybe they can build the data centers in the forms of statues to themselves! I shouldn’t say that, they’ll hear that and think, “That’s actually a pretty good idea.”The reality is that the idea that Republicans are actively trying to kill us all is not something we should dismiss.“Oh, that’s ridiculous, of course they’re not trying to do that! Let’s never talk about that again and pretend you never said it.”It’s weird that we’re so concerned about making Republicans “feel uncomfortable” that we won’t even challenge them on their active engagement in the destruction of all humanity.“Are you guys trying to kill us all?”“How dare you? That accusation makes me feel bad about myself.”“That’s not a denial.”(under their breath) “I’ll be happy when you’re gone.”“What?”“Nothing.”Half the Republican party looks like Dr. Simon Bar Sinister from Underdog. They might as well paint their faces red and wear devil horns. It’s like they think it’s funny to openly embrace evil and laugh at us about it.When we call them out on it they go on the offensive and tell us to tone down our rhetoric. In the same breath, they’ll call us terrorists, insist we should all be murdered, and then threaten to annihilate an entire population.Can we please stop acting like decorum is still in play? I’m just saying that when you line up the “to do” list for global destruction, it lines up EXACTLY with the to do list Republicans are putting into effect.But when you talk about it, you get confronted with resting white supremacy face:I mean, there’s being polite and then there’s failing to see the nose on your face.I, for one, don’t want to have to survive another pandemic. I think a little bit of accountability is long overdue.Our suffering is not an accident.Our suffering is the Republican agenda.Take it to the bank, or better yet, take it to the voting booth (assuming they won’t rig the elections which they’ve also openly declared they intend to do).
