The data shows that even the top-ranked results lose a third of their traffic when these summaries are present. Most affected sectors include news, education, travel, and how-to publishers, with some losing more than 90% of their traffic.Carter warns that we're witnessing a massive transfer of value. “When publishers can’t make money from their content, they stop creating it.
