Canada public service strike

Canada public services workers have gone on strike. The union members voted to go on strike and came into the sixth day of striking they were going after the highest impact on the economy and Canadian ports and borders are on the list. So there will be decreased traffic through the port and border which will have effects on inflation and available products. After all, if Canada can't move goods in and now borders will affect the economy and of course, inflation. We all know the effects of inflation are bad. How is the government setting in negotiations, especially for workers how are they planning to bring the strike to an end? The Ministers stated they were doing everything they could to avoid this strike. What are the steps to put people back to work and end slowdowns?
