The hospital trips, the treatment and realising just how many other people were going through serious illness were profoundly changing. Through her journey towards recovery, Dawn blossomed, transforming her slightly introverted nature into a force of compassion.  Today, alongside her children, Dawn volunteers in many settings bringing therapy animals, bringing joy and comfort to others facing similar challenges.
