Cancer Survivor to Health & Fitness Thriver with Gisele Seto

from Make Peace With Food · host Sherry Shaban

Have you ever heard the saying, you are what you eat? It implies that if we eat foods that are considered “bad”, we are bad people, and we end up feeling guilty and ashamed. It’s time to upgrade our beliefs and instead say, “You are what your body does with the foods that you eat,” because food affects everyone differently. After battling breast cancer and winning, Gisele knew it was time to begin leading the perfect healthy lifestyle, in her own way. Gisele is the lead author of the collaborative self-help book, “THAI-ing it all up! Beyond trauma, nutrition & holistic bodywork”. Teaming with diverse professionals, such as osteopaths, physical therapists, and energy healers, she travels the world teaching multidisciplinary approaches to therapeutic yoga, massage, and myofascial bodywork via assisted restorative/dynamic yoga stretches, meditation, and breathwork. On this episode of the Fall In Love with Fitness podcast, Gisele and I discuss how she overcame her battle with breast cancer, why she decided to reintroduce meat and animal products into her diet again, and why the most important thing we can do is listen to our bodies.  To learn more from Gisele, you can subscribe to her YouTube Channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCC8S8N4l4-KFxbs_XXDZj0w and Facebook page - Seto Synergies Inc. - Thai-ing it all up! What You’ll Learn from this Episode: Why there is no such thing as a perfect diet The problems we face with diet culture Why we should experiment with different foods And much more!
