Summer is supposed to be here although you wouldn't know it from the weather, the national exams have started, local festivals are kicking off and parents are strategizing how to keep children occupied over the summer as they count down the days to the end of the school year. So as it is the start of the month of June in Limerick it must mean it is close to the annual celebration of faith which is Limerick's Solemn Novena to Our Lady of Perpetual Help. In our podcast excerpt this week we are joined by Fr Laurence Gallagher who is the lead for the Redemptorist's parish missions in Ireland. He joins with John this week to shares the symbolism and meaning behind the Icon of Our Lady of Perpetual Help.
