Canjun Justice Review and Analysis

from Mattacritic Podcast · host Matthew Hemenway

Hello everyone, this is Matthew Hemenway. In this video or blog post, I will be reviewing and analyzing Canjun Justice that is written by James Patterson and Tucker Axum. I am good, I hope you are. I will go over several topics in this book. I will let you know my rating at the end of this video and blog post. The book has three parts, and each part has a different name. Part One is called No good deed goes unpunished. Part Two is called The Gaijin. Part Three is called In der Nottt Frisst Der Teufel Fliegen. I will go through each of the three parts in this review.Mattacritic is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber. In Part one, which is called No good deed goes unpunished; Cain tries to protect the secret service’s reputation. One of the secret service agents has sex with a prostitute in one of the assignments in a country in South America. It would have put POTUS in danger and embarrass the U.S. government and the Secret Service. He pays the prostitute $300 for having sex with Tom Jackson nicknamed Tomcat. She wanted $600.00 but Cain decided to pay her $300.00. She Laters decides to report this to the police and this is not good for Cain. He must go back to Washington, DC.LeRoy Hayes, who Cain calls the King tells him that the SAC wants to see him. This will not be good. Cain later sees the service’s therapist. Cain says that he is fine. With the SAC, this is a setup to get him to spy on the other agents. As Cain says, the other agents will not trust him if he does that. He refuses to do that and loses his job. Thanks for reading Mattacritic! This post is public so feel free to share it.Cain returns to Lousanna to go back home. He rides his motorcycle back home. He gets home and runs into his old high school girlfriend. He later has a fight with her ex-husband when he tries to abuse her and her son. He later tells them; I am going to Japan. Bonnie offered him a job to go to Japan. He goes after LeRoy Hayes told him that Tom Jackson decided to be the SAC’s mole.In Part two which is called The Gaijin which means foreigner. Cain files on a plane to Japan. He tells people he is hot. The Japanese flight attendant tells him that Japanese do not like it that cold. He tells her, I cannot take all my clothes off. Of course, he would not do that as he was joking. He arrives and meets Bonnie, his twin sister in Japan. She is dressed in a blue flight attendant uniform. His twin sister works for United Airlines. She loves him and tells him that she did not approve of his old high school girlfriend. Cain tells her, you never approved of my girlfriends. Bonnie tells him that is not true, I approved of Claire who Cain married.Cain later meets Tanaka who works for Mr. Sato. They stay in a capsule hotel. Cain hated it because it was like sleeping in a coffin. I would not blame him as I would hate to feel like I am sleeping in a coffin. This means that the hotel is a tight space.Tanaka later takes Cain to meet Mr. Sato. Cain meets Umiko who works as Mr. Sato’s secretary at the Car Company that he runs as the CEO. Mr. Sato tells Cain that he is worried about the Yakuza coming after him. The Yakuza is the Japanese mafia; they are no different than the Chinese Triad and the Russian mafia called the Bratva. Both the Triad and the Bratva are brutal. You would not want to encounter them, and it is no different with the Yakuza.Cain must train the security staff to be prepared to deal with a threat like the Yakuza. This is where Cain’s military training and Secret Service training came in handy. Cain wants Mr. Sato to travel by helicopter, but that does not work as there is fog. Mr. Sato says they must travel by car. This gives the Yakuza the opportunity to kill Mr. Sato. Cain stops the Yakuza with the help of Tanaka and Mr. Sato’s driver from being successful.Cain later goes to the Angel Cloud after saving Mr. Sato’s life. There he meets Sabrina and figures out that she is Romanian. He later finds Bonnie there and he gets in a fight with the Yakuza. It is not good as it will have consequences.Cain goes on the retreat with Umiko to Mount Fiji. This is where the Kendo class is taking him. This is a martial art that uses Zen which borrows from Buddhist teachings. He later with Umiko’s help finds out he needs to let go of the guilt that he has been carrying about his wife dying in fire with their son in Thailand.Start writing today. Use the button below to create a Substack of your ownAfter the retreat, Bonnie gets taken by the Yakuza. In Part three which is called in der Nott frisst der Teufel fliegen. This is where he must rescue Bonnie from the Yakuza. He does not have a lot of time to do this.Cain goes to the Japanese police, and they would not do anything about this. Cain is frustrated with the Japanese and their process. It is full of people that are afraid and government hacks. The American Embassy was no help. Cain has no choice but to go alone. He knows he must figure this out.Cain gets help from Umiko and he goes to the police with Umiko. Cain felt that the police was a waste of time. Cain rides the scooter that Umiko gave him. Cain finds the man who fought in the Angel Cloud after he got help from Champ Albright the reporter from the South. He kills the man at the Tatoo parlor.Cain must follow several clues to rescue his sister. Cain gets help from his old friend that he served in the navy Chief Alvarez. As not to be revealed anymore, nothing more will be revealed here. It does bring the reader to the climax of the story.I give Canjun Justice a 10 out 10. It was well done. It was fast, fun, and kept the reader engaged. The plot was good and told relative stories. You have corruption, greed, and extortion all wrapped up in one story. That is relevant story telling. Please check out my website to check out why I decided to review and analyze texts as well as check out my blog. You can become a Patron by going to the Patreon page.
