Over the past decade, there have been significant advances in the field of cannabis research, its legalization and its use as a medicine. The plant produces over 60 different compounds called cannabinoids; the best known of these are THC and CBD. Their biological effects are as diverse as the rules governing them from country to country or state to state. Their study and usage covers a wide range of ages, diseases and biological targets, from cancer to diabetes to insomnia.
