Did any legislation Pass? How was adult-use sales in Michigan? These are a couple of the topics we go into in our episode.Cannabis had a huge year in 2020 while many didn't because of COVID. When Covid happened it deemed Cannabis Essential meaning shops could stay open and operate with curbside or delivery. This was a game changer for not just Michigan but the Whole United States. Most States followed suit and named Cannabis essential. This proved that cannabis is changing and more and more people are in favor of it. This also was a turning point for our industry here in Michigan, Adult-use sales started to increase and surpass medical sales in just a couple months after it started. That means that More people in Michigan are buying adult-use products.Cannabis was descheduled by The United Nations. That was huge because U.N is the entire world not just America, and they declassified it as a schedule 1 drug. That's another huge win for cannabis in 2020. It's been looked at as devil's lettuce, bad stuff ever since it was deemed illegal in the 30s and since the war on drugs and all the propaganda just says how bad it is. When truly its not bad it's been around for thousands of years and hopefully with these signs more changes happen for cannabis in 2021.In the November election a couple states went legal or adult-use as well. This is another great move for cannabis because more and more states are legal or medical. Eventually every state will have some time for cannabis related laws. In December the MORE Act was passed in the house. The first time a cannabis bill actually made it passed the house of representatives. Most say it won't pass the Senate but nevertheless it did pass the house and shows progression in the cannabis industry. We also talk about the last prisoner project and what thye have accomplished this year and the recent news of Michael Thompson getting granted clemency for his nonviolent cannabis offense.We talk about these topics and much more in the Cannabis Recap of 2020.
