He's responsible for many great documentaries, such as The Real Right Stuff, Diana: In Her Own Words, MLK: The Assassination, and many more. We talk with Tom about how he got his start in the business, the stories behind creating some of his documentaries, and the podcast Artifactual from his production company 1895 Films!  Artifactual is a podcast about archival material -- who made it, who saved it, and why. It was inspired by the documentary work they do at 1895 Films, where they often come across amazing pieces of archival material (tapes, maps, letters, etc.). But they don't always have the space to tell the stories behind this archival material in the documentaries themselves. And so, Artifactual was born!
