We welcome writer Mikey Martinez and artist Anna Maria Richardson this week to first help us recall deities from throughout pop culture in the Retro Roundtable! We also try to think of another actor who could portray God as well as Morgan Freeman. Who would you pick? Then we turn our attention to Mickey and Anna to discuss their comic 'Quetzalcoatl: Volume 1' running on Kickstarter until June 14th. Quetzalcoatl is a Latinx Modern Teen Coming-of-Age/Superhero comic in the tradition of Ms. Marvel, The Amazing Spider-Man and The Runaways comics. The world of Quetzalcoatl is a bit more of a mythological horror/coming-of-age, however. We will be building off of Mesoamerican myth to bring forward stories that have not really been delved into in popular media.
