Discussion Questions: Why does the Bible include so many genealogies? What is the point? What should we be taking away from them? Nimrod was an influencer. He influenced multiple major cultural hubs in the ancient world. What can we learn from his brief description in Scripture? How might the lesson we learn from him impact the way we are Christians today try and be culture makers? Why was the tower of Babel a bad idea? (more than 1 answer) What similarities do you see in the Genesis 11 tower and another structure built in the land of Shinar in Daniel 3:1-7? How do we see the judgement of scattering the people and confusing their language get turned into a blessing later in the Biblical story? What other acts of judgement ultimately get turned into blessing for God's people throughout the Bible?
