Can't God just forgive? Why did Jesus have to die?

In this episode PJ brings up a question he heard from a student in his world religions class about Christianity.  This question basically was, "Why do Christians believe God had to punish His son for the sins of others in order to forgive? If God is forgiving, why doesn't he just do it?"  Aiden, Erin, PJ, Jaden, Grant and AJ discuss what forgiveness is all about and why Jesus did die.
