I enjoy looking up the original meaning of sayings we use frequently. I've never considered what this one meant until I saw another military brother of mine talk about it. I like the saying even more now! You'll come up against the hard parts of life no matter what. You can choose to seek them out and learn skills to be able to handle life better as you go.
