Canto 08 Part 01(Introduction) Srimad Bhagavatham Tatwa Deepika

The Srimad Bhagavatam – 8th Canto narrates the stories of cosmic struggle, divine protection, and the Lord’s compassion toward both gods and devotees. It describes the famous churning of the Ocean of Milk, where devas and asuras work together to obtain Amruth (nectar of immortality), during which Lord Vishnu manifests in several divine forms such as Kurma and Mohini. The canto also tells the story of Gajendra Moksham, where the elephant king Gajendra is rescued by the Lord through sincere surrender, and the story of Vamana avatara, in which Lord Vishnu humbles the mighty king Bali with divine wisdom and grace. Through these narratives, the canto teaches that surrender to God, humility, and devotion lead to liberation, while pride and attachment ultimately fade before divine will.
